A circus is commonly a travelling company of performers that may include acrobats, clowns, trained animals, trapeze artists, jugglers and more. The word also describes the performance they give, which is usually a series of acts that are choreographed to music and introduced by a 'ringmaster'. The ringmaster is the most visible performer in the modern circus - stage-managing the performance, introducing the various acts and guiding the audience through the entertainment experience. It is the ringmaster's job to create a sense of wonder through hyperbole, with declarations of the "biggest", "most dangerous" and "spectacular" feats when commenting on the performance. The ringmaster traditionally attired in a bright, gaudy topcoat and tails - often red with a gold trim - with a tall top hat. Lions, tigers and elephants feature prominently in the circus, so try a jumpsuit for a circus party. Be the clown of the party in a clown costume! A clown costume includes the clown coloured afro wig, a red nose, a clown bow tie that squirts water, a clown horn and some clown shoes.
